July 2014 Photo Scavenger Hunt

Here's my collection for this month's scavenger hunt, with thanks to Greenthumb at Made With Love for organising it.

C is for?
Cycle on a Church
As you probably know, the Tour De France started over here, in Yorkshire this year.   I was in Skipton the day before the start so a few of my photos are from there.

One of our new hens (well definitely a cockerel as it turns out), likes to sit in the bob hole of an evening, surveying his empire.  It was 9pm when I took this at the beginning of the month.

These lock gates stem the flow of water from the canal basin

Well this is the afore mentioned canal basin but I'm classing it as a pool!

I like the raindrops on these Lady's Mantle leaves so much I'm giving you three pics (the last one even has an ant on it)

On the wall

on a friend's farm

In your bag
My daughter wanted to borrow a clutch bag of mine, and when I got it out, there was a ticket for a disco from 1981, a nightclub membership card from 1986 and a few aspros!

I'm so sorry for being away so long, and for not keeping up with your blogs too.

It's my daughter's fault........

She put a drawing game on her Dad's ipad and I became addicted!  Morning, noon and night I've been playing it, to the detriment of everything else - cooking, cleaning, ironing (no not ironing, I do very little of that anyway!), blogging - you get the gist.

Anyway I've managed to get it under control now, or rather my husband has - he keeps hiding the ipad!

So.... I've bought myself a new camera after losing my other one on holiday  (thanks to Greenthumb for mentioning insurance; I take it out and forget what it covers!   In the end, after the excess and depreciation, I would only have got a few pounds towards a new one.  And that would have been too much messing about to claim - I needed some kind of proof of losing it like a police report.  I did go to the police station when I was there to see if it had been handed in, but it hadn't, and the policeman asked me if I wanted to report it and like an idiot I said no!  I didn't see the point, when it wasn't a crime and I was going home that day anyway.  Never thought about insurance!)
Anyway yesterday I made my new camera a case
I love this fabric with the little strawberries and flowers.   It's from some that my friend gave me after his mother passed away, and I lined it in a sample that matches the orange flowers

While I was at it, I made a case for my husband's phone out of some old jeans

Now where is that ipad?

June 2014 Photo Scavenger Hunt

I found it so hard to come up with interesting photos for this month's prompts and had to resort to using things for sale in shops for some of them.  Anyway, here we go...

B is for?
Baker Boy on a Bike
This was outside a bakery in Palma

My daughter's breakfast on holiday

You again
Our two new hens seem to be a cross between cats and robins when I'm gardening - getting under my feet, and waiting for all the worms and insects I unearth.
Only thing is, I couldn't get a very good photo with one hand

A hole in the gate post has been filled with pieces of leaf which I think is the work of a leaf cutter bee

Football buns and gingerbread football shirts in a local bakers

Man made
I've had these bolts that my husband took off a metal gate for ages.  I love that they look like men, and I intend to do something with them, but I don't know what yet.

As usual the scavenger hunt has been organised by Greenthumb at Made With Love, and other interpretations can been seen over there.
