Not so blue skies

These photos were all taken this month on different days.
This is my very favourite type of sky when it's really dark but the sun's shining.

but these are also interesting

I loved the bottom vapour trail on this one, it looked like it had a crocheted edging!

  1. Beautiful photos, so many times we walk with our heads down, when we should look up and see the beauty of the sky, gorgeous!

  2. A deep blue sky is breathtaking but there's so much more to be said by angry skies full of cloud-armies!

We get silly numbers of vapour trails overhead here, it seems to be where half of the flights to Europe make a right-turn and head over the North Sea. Sometimes we can see half a dozen 'planes in the sky all at once - a jet traffic jam.

  3. I can't choose. Maybe that is a sign that I am ready for another type of sky here where it has been endless blue for nearly 4 weeks. Things are getting a little dry.

  4. Hey Georgia, those pics are lovely....
The first is my favourite, love grey skies.....the promise of rain, which we really need.
Love the greeny gold of the grass. The last one is also quite spectacular....was it sunsrise or sunset? Just beautiful.

Word verification PERSO. Used to be my surname, it's an Italian word which means lost, but I'm not.......lost or Italian, hehe.....

  6. Such gorgeous, gorgeous skies Georgia!

That bottom one is so red is unbelieveable!
I tried to get one like that a couple of weeks ago, I kept clicking away, then just as it was at it's reddest my camera battery went LOl.

Have a lovely weekend my dear, wrap up warm and take care,
    Love Donna xx

  7. Beautiful moody skies LBM, one for every occasion. I like the darker, brooding sky shot best too.

  8. Beautiful pictures. I too love skies that combine dark and light, sunshine and clouds. Have you ever read the Cloudspotter's Guide? It's very interesting.
