Apple cosy

The other day I was showing my daughter a knitted apple cosy on Folksy and wondering who would want one, when she said could I knit one for her to give to a friend.
I used this tutorial  but I don't have any double-pointed needles so had to adapt it for two needles and sew it up. 
It looks a bit funny in the photo because I only had a small apple to model it!
