As soon as I read this month's list I went outside and got my first one, and I thought I'd be finished really early but I've ended up taking more than half of them today! Luckily I went to a wonderful Open Garden this morning which had a sculpture trail and also ceramics and paintings for sale. Then on the way home I called in at the 'pick your own' place.
Red, white and blue
Flip flops
Ice cream
Strawberries
A flag
Fields
Celebration
Sea shells
these were for sale at the open garden
Stars
Stripes
These are cinnabar moth caterpillars (you can just see another one lower down) which are generally only found on ragwort which is poisonous, making them poisonous as well.
I'm showing a second one for stripes because my photo for the next category is rubbish
A kite
this sculpture looked so much better in real life with kite shaped pieces of mirror, but they haven't come out very well
Something that makes you happy (but not a person or animal)
Looking round other people's gardens!
You can find other entries for the photo scavenger hunt on Postcards from the P.P. plus the list for August if you fancy joining in.
Beautiful pictures. My favourite is the stripes one, it's stunning. x
ReplyDeletesome lovely photos, well done. x
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, I had planned on something similar for red, white and blue but didn't find anything red that I could line up well with the right sky!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how fast the month goes, you think you have plenty of scavenging time and then suddenly the end of the month is nigh!
I like the look of the next list and in theory, I should be more organised this month as I'm off work for the summer hols!
I love your photos! Especially stars and stripes and red, white and blue. Like you I took a couple of photos almost straight away then rushed in the last week again for the final ones:)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos for this month's categories! I had a similar bench photo for "stripes" but opted to stay with my original. Had fun taking the photo of the bench...the people around me thought I was nuts! LOL Annette
ReplyDeleteYou take the most beautiful nature photos. The first one is stunning but I really love the little caterpillar.
ReplyDeleteThe icecream one is so arty and poignant - poor lost dollop of icecream :(
Hi there, a great set of ohotos. I love the first one, and the little caterpillar too. Ad the poor ice-cream - how sad!

Fab photos, the first is gorgeous and the stripes is too.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea growing strawberries up high, makes for easier picking, love it.
The last garden is wonderful, I would so love to have a look around it.
Spring is in the air I'll be outside gardening after the dew has dried.
Have a great week,
Claire :}
Super photos this time...even the kite entry! I didn't enter this month, but really enjoyed you efforts.

Such great photos! I love red, white, and blue, but the ice cream made me smile...
ReplyDeleteTerrific variety! Oops with the icecream ;) I bet many of us can relate to the ice cream rolling out of the cone! Looking at gardens such as the one in your photo would make me happy too!
ReplyDeleteSuperb photographs. The red, white and blue image is absolutley stunning.
ReplyDeleteLovely Photos
ReplyDeleteI like the strawberries because they are up in the air, here to pick strawberries you have to bend down to the ground!!!
I also thought how sad about that ice cream scoop!!
Love your red white and blue photo

I'm glad you posted a pic of those caterpillars LBM.
ReplyDeleteI've loads of them (and ragwort unfortunately) on the plot and was considering feeding them to the chooks.
The black and yellow put me off though. Natures way of saying noooooooo!
Great pictures...especially the stripy caterpillar and the ice cream...was there a crying child near by ?
ReplyDeleteYou have a talented and creative eye. Was a pleasure popping by today. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great collection of photos! Love that caterpillar but I feel sorry for the person who dropped the ice cream! :)
ReplyDeleteWhere are the pigeons outside the library? They always gather round me hoping for a crumb when I sit there :o)
