Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day


                    

As regular readers will know, I've got a surplus of zips and buttons at the moment, so I'm using some to take part in the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway day.
Do go over and check out their site, there's hundreds of things on offer.

I've got two separate prizes.  

80 mixed buttons




and 20, 8 inch zips in assorted colours




To enter, just leave a comment stating which you would prefer, and what you might use them for. 
Giveaway ends on 25th May when winners will be chosen by random.  Please make sure I can contact you if you should win.  If I don't receive replies back from the winners by 28th May, I will redraw.




My next post will feature something that I've made using buttons and zips. 
 If you've got time I would love you to stick around a while.

I've used my family random number generator to pick the winners.  This consists of asking my son to choose two numbers between 1 and 170 and he said:

32   -   One Perfect Day for the zips

and

95   -   Happy Cottage Quilter for the buttons

    I prefer the zippers. If they're short zippers, I'll use them for more pouches. I'd love to have 100 zip pouches sewn up for sale by Christmas but that's a dream. It'll never happen. Too lazy.

    Oh man, I'm torn, I love buttons and use them all the time (I never mind making buttonholes) but zippers where I am cost a leg and an arm (which is why most of my projects involve knits or buttonholes). I'd use either of them likely in closures for a couple of skirts in my to-do pile.

    I am a button hoarder, so definitely the buttons!

    I love to use old, slightly-matching buttons on the clothes I make for my kids. Choosing buttons is just as much fun as choosing the pattern and the fabric.

    Wow, what great stuff to have a surplus of! I'd love the zippers - I never seem to have zippers on hand when I need them. And sewing up little zippered pouches is a great way to make cute, handmade gifts without spending a ton of time or money.

    Ooh I love both prizes! But if I had to choose I'd pick the zippers, as I'm always trying to match the colors to the fabric. I'd use them for pouches, wrist wallets, and pyramid bags. thanks for a chance to win! :)

    Oh no. Tough choice. Can I leave it up to you? I love buttons! How I'd use them? Not sure. As for the zippers, I'm starting to use more when sewing (bags esp) but I don't have a stash to fall back on so I'm always running to the store.
