It's curtains for the top

Do you remember these bark cloth curtains I got from a car boot sale a few months ago?

I've used them to make this top.
Before I started it I was worried that the fabric may be too thick for the pleats on the neckline, but they've come out really well.

  6. Hi Claire,
The pattern was out of Prima magazine. I altered it a bit as it was for a more tapered dress with a split up the back and I wanted to wear it over jeans.

  16. Oh it's beautiful! What a gorgeous tunic it's made. I bet the weight of the fabric means it hangs really nicely too.

re. your comment on my blog-a magic salt pig...so the man at the pottery museum told us in his broken English...has salt inside, the hole looks quite big underneaath but it gets quite narrow as it forms a tube inside. when you shake the pig salt sprinkles out...like magic!
