Hi, very clever and beautifully completed. Great to brighten up a gloomy day, it looks strong too. Well done ;o)
Yowsers, what a great bag LBM.It must've taken quite a few bags to knit it up. Love the stripey effect and the colours.Good use of bags too.Enjoy your week.Claire :}
OMG.....I love it, I'm wondering how many carriers it took to make, the stripey effect is amazing.florrie x
I tried this ages ago but found the knitting way to tight, I used one inch strips and 15mm needles, you'll have to divulge the secret of your success, it's truly amazing! x
What a fab bag, I love it! It must have taken ages to make!
Thanks for your comments.It did take a long time to do because I knit very tightly and I'm a slow knitter anyway, but the plastic doesn't slide along the needles like wool does.It used loads and loads of carriers to make, way more than I thought it would. Daisie, I used 6.5mm needles and one inch strips. The strips were cut across the bag so it formed a loop and they were joined together like you do elastic bands for a French skipping rope so there were no knots.
What a brilliant idea, you must have had a nice selection of colours :) it looks lovely. Well done for spotting flamboro by the way x x x x x
I love it, it's brilliant. I often look at carried bags and think hmmm... now I can see how well it would work
I think those are amazing!
Isn't it a good feeling crossing another project off the list? Yippee!! I love the colors on this bag. It must make you smile when using it.
Wow! I love this! Do you knit any thing else with carriers? Fantastic!
Fabulous upcycle!!! Your bag looks great and it looks like it would be very sturdy. I love the fact that it can stand by itself.
